High Carbonation diabel (1188), Aarschot, Belgium Jan 31, 2008 Bottle Hazy amber body with a creamy rocky, lightly brown head. Lightly malty aroma. Lightly bitter flavour of strong malts (coffee) and some hops. Weird the coffee is so prominent and it’s just an amber. Nice but a bit odd. SHIG (1384), Oberoffligen, Germany Jan 30, 2008 Bottle: Poured a murky brown orange with creamy off white. Aroma is sweet fruit with speces. Taste is sweet caramel malt with a spice and alcohol burn. oh6gdx (5208), Vaasa, Finland Jan 26, 2008 Bottled. Hazy nutbrown colour with mediumsized longlasting beige head. Aroma is yeast, sour fruits and caramel. Also some spices and some mild wooden notes are to be found. Flavour is mild roasted malts, some fruits, caramel and spices. All in a nice balance. As the beer warms up the sourness turns into a bit more acidic fruityness. Quite watery palate for a 7 % beer.
