Golden colour with thin head. This is quite a fresh, citric Tripel with a relatively low level of sweetness and even a little bit of fruity, hoppy bitterness.

Leicht trübes Bier, hell amberfarbig. Geringer Schaum der schnell verschwindet. Geruch malzig, Gemüse, Kräuter. Geschmack alkoholisch malzig, minimal sauer. Ansonsten Geschmack nach Gemüse und Gewürzen.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Thanks to Fergus for this one. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose is slightly medicinal with notes of tangy citrus, too. Big sweet flavor with some doughy malts, lemony tang and booze. Full bodied with lively carbonation. Warming finish with rough alcohol and doughy malts. A bit harsh with low drinkability. Meh.

Light misty golden body with medium grey head. Light spicy aroma, simple malts, cereal, hay, crisp hop but all not very rewarding. Simple bitterness, not layered. The overdone alcohol is common in the style but doesn’t make it very pleasant to drink, especially with this low maltyness. It’s okay. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

330 ml bottle. L13220. BB 10/2014. From saveur-biere.com.
Clear golden colour with a small white head. Strong candy hops, pear, malt and yeast in the aroma. The flavour is like a fermented version of the aroma... and alcohol... I wouldn’t say this is nice... Some bitterness, pear, malt and alcohol... Quite a let-down after the aroma.

Bottle from erre de Boissons Calais split at speed tasting at Craft Clerkenwell. Aroma is floral, light herb, belgian yeast and some hot alcohol. Crystal clear yellow straw colour with a persistent white head. Flavour is clean malt, light honey, hot alcohol, headache inducing. Tastes every percent of the abv. Quite sweet in the finish.
