Tastes like a Belgian blond, bit sickly on the malt, some rose petal. Drinkable enough. But malt lets it down. Fruity and yeasty with a slight hint of TCP. Slight notes of corn and a dry and dull finish. Far from great.
JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Mar 26, 2008 Huge, dense, collapsing, just off-white head over pale yellow-golden beer. Creamy nose, milkripe grain, with a spicy touch (coriander?) and wheat, it would seem, without being sourish - rather lactic. Liquorice, near stout-like flavour in this very pale beer - very disconcerting! Ends slightly salty, and dry cookies flavour. Saltiness, like dried shrimp is weird. Warming up, some cornflakes-with-honey flavour comes up. Creamy texture and slightly spritzy MF, despite no visual pearling. Bit empty.
