MERI!

330ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, strawy aroma, a spicy touch of hay, some malt spiciness. Taste is slightly sweet pale malty, minimally sweet-ish bready, mild, bitter hoppy counterweight. Must be relatively better if enjoyed at the Côte d’Azur.

Bottle 33cl. Clear pale golden color, small foamy white head, quickly diminishing, no lacing; aroma sweet malty, grainy, bit floral, bit iron; light taste, medium sweet, slightly bitter; light body, oily to watery texture, average carbonation, bit flat palate, finish light bittersweet, grainy, metallic; overall not bad for a pale lager but way to thin for a pilsener.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear pale golden color with small frothy white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops and cereals. Taste starts light sweet malty, follows by grassy and citric acidity with dry papery mouthfeel and unpleasant mild bitter finish. Light body, thin texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. Not a thirst killer, not even painkiller, just a pain in the ass :)

BOTTLE 33 CL. Look: clear golden, small white frothy head. Aroma: some malt with medicinal sweetness and slightly mineral. Taste: sweetish, baked apple, dusty husky grains. Not a pilsener, but the baked fruit sweetness is pleasant.

Extremely pale golden body, absolutely filtered to death it seems, which even creates an instable bubbly soda head to it doesn’t even look good there. Minimal malts, sleazy sweetness, hopelessly hopless, atrociously artificial and cloying corn... I have no good word for this beer. From the E-numbers, glucose and corn as ingredients to the pretentious marketing aimed at unknowing locals and tourists. Even the big "serve ice cold!" recommendation isn’t going to help anyone enjoy this beer. Did not finish half a glass -- not for the taste (it’s non-existent) but I don’t want to take any calorie as bad as this. (50cl can from La Saveur Bière)
