This is a good example of a good belgian strong ale. A stable aroma and some bbnut not much residual sweetness together with belgian carractair.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Palme (1200) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 9, 2012
0.33l bottle from Systembolaget Passagen, Sweeden. This is a clear light red-amber one with a big and lasting fluffy off-white head. The aroma is really malty-wort like with Belgian yeast tones and hints of candy and some slightly sour berries. It’s lively to average carbonated and it has a mild oily to stingy mouthfeel. Nice enough flavors as well; lots of Belgian yeast, some banana-sweetness, it has a near metallic-pungent bitterness that I don’t care to much for, but all in all this was completely average. Hints of alcohol in the finish and aftertaste. 20.01.2012

Amber colored pour. Giant off-white head. Plenty of lacing. Big dry yeasty aroma. Pretty much it for the nose. Dry sweet yeasty, peppery taste. Dry, thin. Not bad, but I have had better - tonight.
