3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BeerSkull (680) - SWEDEN - NOV 8, 2011
Slightly acidic smell and taste of yeast, citrus and spices. Typical Belgian strong ale.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Sparf (24) - Östersund, SWEDEN - NOV 6, 2011
Dense, fruity aroma with a cellar like tartness. A touch of perfume. Damp/wet(sic!) and thin body. Almost stale, surprisingly enough since the head smells fresh and is alright. Subtle and elegant. Aftertaste is quickly disappearing and mildly bitter. A light and qualified craftsmanship but not a sublime beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Benjii (2416) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 7, 2011
UPDATED: DEC 22, 2011 Bottle from Beer Boxx. Best before end 2011. This one was a gusher but the 1 year old bottles we had previously were on another level, we lost at least 1/3rd of the bottle every time. May be a reason not to age this one. Nice Belgian yeast aroma with alcohol, caramel, and treacle notes. Flavours similar with caramel, grassy hops and toffee. Alcohol is fairly present overall with a long hum. Chewy mouth-feel, heavy carbonation and a fair CO2 prickle. Long caramel linger. Had this again from Beers of Europe. Best before end 06/2014. No carbonation issues, biscuity and Delicious. Recommended.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 PalCabral (45) - SWEDEN - OCT 3, 2011
Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours orange-amber with a think head that sinks but never really goes away. Aroma rich of fruity yeast, could be a wheat beer yeast used for this beer? It’s lovely. The taste is perfect balance between the fruity yeasty flavours and the malt, clearly the use of belgian aromatic malt in there. Hops are discrete but comes in to balance the beer in the aftermath, giving the beer a somewhat bitter aftertaste. The palate is bubbly, perhaps a little too much. A wonderful beer, perfectly made.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ktwse (231) - SWEDEN - OCT 1, 2011
Quite liked this one. Fairly typical belgian. Pours amber with a fairly big white head that lingers quite long and leaves a fair bit of lacing. Aroma is malt, yeast, sugar, tropical fruit yet a bit weak. Taste and palate are both very nice, malty caramel with a lot of yeast, a fresh sourness and slightly hoppy in the finish. Rich and creamy in the mouth, a very nice beer.

I allt väsentligt en typisk belgare: läskande fruktig, syrlig och med en hel trupp av välkoordinerade smaker som höjer inte bara helheten utan också delarna. Gott som räcker inte alltför länge.

Bottle from Systembolaget, at home. September, 2011.
Pours clear orange-amber with a creamy white head. Estery aromas of apples, pears, peaches and other fruit. A caramel and grain note to it as well as some yeast. The taste is slight sweet but at the same time a bit dry and astringent . It tastes good with a nice candy note. Noticeable bitterness.

Bottle 33cl. Dark amber with off white head, creamy and consistent. Aroma to fresh malts, fruits, yeast, syrup. Taste to syrup, caramel and fresh fruits. On palate results dry, with medium body and soft carbonation. No so much very hopped and well balanced.
