2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 humlelala (687) - DENMARK - APR 9, 2013
(33 cl bottle from Vistamboir, Guerande; BBD: September 30th 2014; rating #1000 of this beer) Pours a clear dark copper with little, off-white head that recedes quickly. Decent regeneration that doesn’t last. Aroma is caramel, green fruit, spice and alcohol. Soft carbonation, medium body, oily texture and a boozy, warming finish. Taste is Belgian in accordance with the nose with the emphasis on the yeast (spice), malt and alcohol.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 stevoj (920) - Ramstein-Miesenbach, GERMANY - APR 3, 2013
INitial sourness on this had me thinking this was a sour ale. Pours dark brown with airy head. Aroma is cider, raisins, cola. Taste is dried fruits with some cider sourness. Palate is sour and lingers. A slightly diffferent take on the style
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 NikkTwist (884) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 2, 2013
Draft at Monks in Philly. Cloudy brown pour. Quite a bit of carbonation in the tulip. Frothy beige head that settled to some lasting foam. Fizzy dark brown fruit. Raisins. Prunes. Dates. Figs. Apricot ears. Bit unusual combination of such dark red fruits with such a big mouthfeel yet only a medium body. Feels almost watered down. Also weirdly dry despite the fruit. And no chocolate/coffee/ashy notes at all. Oddly enough, the first time I feel I have found these notes all by their lonesome.

Fantastique.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 thanatosti (586) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 26, 2013
33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Drankgigant. Hazy brown with a very thin off-white head. Sour cherry aroma with some coffee and roasted malts. Medium bitter with some sweetness. ABV of 9% is very well concealed, just a warming touch instead of a burn. Great beer.

Mahogany sort of color with an off-white head. Banana, caramel, toffee, and dark fruits, and sugar. Notes of yeast, clove, and cola. Maybe a bit of grape/red wine, too. Sweet flavor of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, and fruits. Good banana, date, raisin, and grapes. Light spiciness, a hint of alcohol, and some yeast.

Bouteille de 330ml achetée en Ontario. Merci. Version à 9,0% alc. 13092014. 7/10
