Nose of currants and dates with a hint of wine. Pours a dark red brew. Mouth feel is soft. Taste is malty and sweet. Perhaps too sweet for my tastes. All in all a good belgian strong ale.

Dark brown, hints of plum and dry fruit are evident, nice aroma of figs and caramel. This is a nightcap beer, no doubt. Slow sipping style and full of alcohol, drink it at room temperature...you will get much better complexity, but you knew that drinking a Belgian.

On tap from the Norfolk taphouse. Pours a dark amber/light ruby color. Aroma immediately brings to mind a Belgian Strong Ale. It’s sweet, slightly dry, and has a wonderful aftertaste. Definitely not a beer to drink in a hurry.

bomber poured a dark amber in color with some red tones and a thick dark tan two finger head that was incredibly thick and coated the glass. smell is distinctly Belgian brown, plumb, raisin, beautiful yeast, brown sugar, and plenty of dried dark fruits. taste is great, full tongue of carbination, dried fruit galore, plumb, raisin, figs, caramelized brown sugar, and some tasty spicy yeast. the bottle tastes very fresh punched on the label is lot f & x, best before end 09, and 2008. so many subtle flavors come out as it warms, 9.5% who would know, on my favorite Belgian list for sure.

Pours deep red with a full head. Aroma is malt, fruit, real nice. Taste is malty with fruit, bitterness and a nice warm alcohol finish. This was pretty nice.

My 100th!! This was a great beer for this milestone of mine because it was really good. It had an amber body, and a very citrus taste.

Dark amber in color with a tan head. Toffee, caramel and stone fruits. Raisons and alcohol as it warms.
