Cannot believe it is not brewed in an abbey! True abbey style Quad (on low alcohol side (9%). Aroma chocolate, caramel no alcohol. Small ephemeral head. Very light body for alcohol. Well balance bitterness-residual sugar. Nice rum palate. Very good!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma of ripe fruit. Flavor is sweet and warming. Tastes just slightly better than bio variant in my opinion.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a slightly hazy, very dark amber body with a small, off-white head. The nsoe has heavy notes of prunes, sherry and molasses. The taste is very sweet with a dry finish that leaves traces of the sweetness on the palate. Carbonation is creamy and fairly heavy and the palate feels quite rich. A nice beer but very sweet or the style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle from Wine of Galilee in Tallinn (€ 2.40). BB 11.08.2016. Dark brown colour with a hue of mahogany, seems clear; head is very big, tan, retention good and lacing very good. A damn fine looking beer. Nose is sweet and spicy: caramel, prunes, figs and dates, hint of alcohol, and later on a sour black bread note. Taste is similarily sweet with caramel most apparent, and raisins soaked in liqueur - the alcohol is not hidden in this one. Some pretty harsh bitterness follows, accentuated by the alcohol. Overall it has a pleasant, almost chocolaty sweetness, and a bit of bready sourness. The finish is dry and bitter, also grainy. Medium body and crisp carbonation; not a very heavy syrupy sticky texture, quite soft on the palate, but with a small graininess. Nice!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark amber/brown with slight haze and finger width of bubbles. Aroma is boozy, christmas pudding. Raisins, orange marmalade. Roast. Have a sip and you get similar christmas pudding aromas, plus dates, molasses. There’s a brightness to it despite the darkness and alcohol. Chewiness balanced by sparkling carbonation, hidden alcohol. There’s a lot to like here.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
