3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep amber, not much head. Doesn’t taste too carbonated, either, despite the cork going flying like that. Tastes a bit too estery. Sweet finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I may have gotten a really old bottle of this, it didn’t seem quite right.
Poured reddish brown with no head. Flavor was sweet with lots of fruit, sour cherry and plum specifically, and some burnt brown sugar. Finsh is alcoholic. The flavor as a whole seemed a bit harsh.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a murky muddy yeast filled brown colour with a small size head and little carbontion.
Smell is very onesided, not much there and smells a bit chemical.
Taste on the oher hand is very pleasant and is a good balance of dried fruits and spices.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours with a hugh head, light brown in color, with a dark brown body. Aromas of roasted malts, citrus (hops), berries, bananas, and dough. Suprisingly soft carbonation considering the pour with a creamy texture. Long duration for the aftertaste. I really enjoyed this beer although waiting for the head to disappear was tough!

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Brown color with minimal head. Aroma is complex and rich, full of malty sweetness with caramel, roaster raisins, fried prunes. Taste follows the aroma, sweet, strong alcohol is expressed into the flavor. Bitterness well hidden. Low carbonation, but not flat at all.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 mL. Pours a deep mahogany with a thick off white head. Aromas of bittersweet caramel malt, Belgian yeast, alcohol, apple, clove and ginger. Sweet and medium bodied, a medium high carbonation and a pleasantly sour finish. Needs a hearty meal.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours amber with a tannish cream head. Lots of apple in the aroma. That gives way to alcohol, belgian yeast and malt. Flavor is initially just kinda malty, over time I get some more apple, yeast, and some more complex malty vibes with some metallic hints too. I’m struck by how moderate to thin the body is. For a 9.5%, I expected this to feel bigger. This is deceptively small-feeling. Pretty remarkable, really! All in all, not really what I look for in a Belgian strong. I’d like more spiciness and a more caramel feel to it, but I still really enjoy this beer. I’d consider giving it as a gift to an inexperienced drinker to introduce them to the world of belgians.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very Warming, plums and raisins. A mildly complex ale, more of having layers than actual complexity. This was better as it warmed, notes of some burnt sugar were also noticed. Some what syrupy and thick, and would be perfect for an after dinner ale, maybe even as a dessert ale.
