The bsa offers an unexpected very malty flavor. Slightly medium rich body. Overall not a bad beer.

F: pale brown head. C: murky hazy red brown. A: dark malty, port wine, dates, honey, chocolate, a lot of dark sweet caramel malt, alcohol and faint earthy mushroom and yeast aromas. T: remind of Struise Pannepot, full caramel body, low carbonation, porto like taste with a lot of plums, cherry, caramel, dark fruits, chocolate, a hints of coffee, raisins, wood, lemon, anyway great beer and surprisingly found in Carrefour express beyond the corner just for 1,6e, recommend to taste.

Final potente y alcoholico.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s pad. Thanks to Paul for this one. Aroma is green apple, nutty, toffee apple, pie crust, light toast. Clear reddy / amber coloured pour with a big lasting cream frothy head. Flavour is sweet toffee, tart apple, caramel, semi-sweet, subtle belgian yeast. Palate is pretty sweet, siry carbonation . Little lingering metalic.

Bottle split at LKS skyline, thanks to Soapey, 27/05/15. Chestnut brown/amber with a big old light beige cap. Nose is sweet, candied almonds, caramel, light yeast, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises sweet licks, caramel, dates, fruit cake, yeast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok Belgo, drinks below its ABV but a little overly sweet for me.

Leighton (13826) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2015
Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Paul. Pours clear copper with a big, foamy beige head. The nose has some ripe, almost rotten fruits, berries, dates. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with lots of bready, some tangy plum, mellow earth, raisins, faint metal. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Warming finish with tangy, ripe berries, rich bread, more plum. Fine.

Scopey (8791) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2015
Bottle for dirt cheap shared at Leighton’s. It pours clear deep mahogany brown with a thick beige head. The nose is sweet, candied action, dark fruit, toasty brown sugar and sweet roast. The taste is sweet, roasty, candy sugar, light metallic twang, dark fruits, plum, raisin, light spice and earth with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and high carbonation. Ides a very well, but there ain’t much to it.

Nostradamus led with a carmelized brown sugar aroma, had a thin, light golden colored head, and the taste was a moderate to bold malty flavor - this beer is not too sweet or syrupy. Excellent paired with french onion soup.

Un belle arôme qui annonce la couleur ;) Une robe sombre avec de beaux reflets cuivrés. Quant au goût on a tout de suite une belle saveur qui s’étend sur le palais. Une très bonne bière.
