Pours reddish brown from a 330 mL bottle into a flute glass. Minimal head. Nose is sweet malt, caramel, and dark fruit. Flavour is sweet caramel and roasted malts with hints of plums and raisins. The funky Belgian yeasts come through. Coppery aftertaste. Interesting take on a dark Belgian strong ale.

Luktar roligt gott. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting, from Kihiosk, Copenhagen. Very dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Pleasant aroma of prunes and other dark dried fruits, also oak, hints of fortified wine. The flavour is also oaky with dark dried fruits, not too sweet. Very good.

The color is a murky brown with a large off-white head, and the aroma blends caramel malts, fig, and Belgian yeast. The taste is mildly sour, mildly sweet, and a touch umami, resulting in a really nice malty yet dark fruit flavor. The aftertaste has lots of toffee to it as well as many flavors from the initial taste. There is a thinness that doesnt quite match the flavor, but the medium body and soft carbonation help round out the mouthfeel.

"pours a murky brown, poured vigorously to get a good amount of head. aroma is unpleasantly coppery & lemony, with some pleasant spices hidden underneath. the flavor is more of the same (i was expecting much better based on previous ratings). nice yeasty flavor, but the astringency takes over at he finish. if i didn’t know better, i’d swear this was either the same style or the same brewer as the belgian "Scotch Silly" i had yesterday. Another disapointment."
