One of the best Belgians Iíve had this year. I really want to make a puny statement about some sort of goofy prediction of me liking this beer, but I fear itís been done many times over, and I would hate to be puny and trite. Anyway, the beer was delicious and I will probably try it out again soon.

Pours a deep, rich ruby. Aroma is very boozy, but amazingly it isn't at all in taste. Very drinkable and a surprising find on a blind whim. This makes the repeater list. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml c&c bottle at home from backlog notes. Pours a hazy brown color with a large fluffy beige head. The aroma and flavor have caramel, dark fruit, plums, figs, a nice spice character, yeast, a hint of alcohol, some mild nutty notes wwith good overall flavor.

Brown color with big head. Nice old fruit and ripe fruit aroma mixed with caramel malt. Light sweet and smooth, but too drinkable.

Pours very dark brown with a large tan head. Lot of bubbles in this one. Thats about the only negative. Very strong aroma, dark and light fruits and alcohol. Taste is much the same. Excellent representation of the style.

Dark brown color with a creamy beige foam. Sweet scents of ripe fruit, especially plums and cherries and apple. Malty taste, with ripe fruits, plums, cherries, apricots and caramel.

Clear brown appearance. Aroma of raisins and prunes. Flavor is raisin and prune, and sweet. Slightly warming. Pretty spot on for the style. I think I just donít like the style.

33cl at home. Clearish dark amber brown with a medium off-white head which didnít last too long. Medium to full body with ditto carbonation. Sweet with spices and some hoppy tones. Caramel, brown sugar, bread, grain, herbs and spices. A nice full flavoured dark Belgian brew.

33 cl bottle. Pours a dark brown with minimal head. Aroma of brown sugar, malts and chocolate. Taste is sweet but not overly. Palate is very smooth with a lasting warming sensation. Overall is good, I will buy again to see if I can experience the full head others describe.
