Finally got around to this one. 33 cl. bottle @ Kulminator. BBF 2010 – a bit older. Hazy brown with a smaller tanned head. Nose carries some vintage notes but in a good way, sweet candy, liquorish, candy sugar, candified fruit, touch vineous, caramel,… Taste is thick fruit, caramel, brown sugar, mixed with quite a bit of liquorish, dried & sweetened with brown sugar fruits, very sweet herbs, porto, dried fruits, BE yeast,… Flatter carb. great aging & wonderful beer – didn’t let me down at all in any way.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 GTAEgeek (809) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 8, 2013
On tap at the Brick Store Pub. Dark, murky brown with a medium, creamy, light tan head. The head sticks around for a long time, and the lacing is pristine. Heavy notes of chocolate, oak, light cinnamon, and some distinct notes of bourbon. Cloyingly sweet flavor, with some light spiciness, and a pleasant warming and sweet aftertaste. Heavy body, smooth and creamy. Overall, this is a stellar beer. Highly recommended!
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 mrhoppy (902) - Santa Clara, California, USA - JUN 5, 2013
Awesome Belgium beer. Has a bit of Tadcaster in flavor and aroma. Cool label! The telescope is up the dudes nose. The aroma is prominent in this beer. Poured out like a fine brandy, rich, red & highly caramelized. Woody barrel. Aromas are of caramelized malts, candied sugar, rich English toffee, and some oak notes as well. A touch too sweet for me but still great. Alcohol aromas are very prevalent as well. Sherry notes and vinous as well. Mouth feel is rich, and mellow. Finishes very smooth, and is a very rich beer. Soft like a pillow and a warm blanket next to a woman’s breast.

Appearance: Clear deep nutty brown color with a big frothy tan head that leaves a fine lacing. Aroma: Sweet fruity, vinous and caramel malty. Palate: Medium + body. A round fine sweetness and a mild bitterness. Rich carbonation. Taste: Berry fruity, caramel malty and vinous. Some mild spices. Well hidden alcohol. Overall impression: Decent power evening sipper. Happy to delete my old rating. Personal stats: Bottle from workmate Gundersen.

The Nostradamus pours a ruby dark beer with a tan, thick, long lasting head. The aroma is dominated by red frutis, brown sugar and caramel. The taste follows the aroma with proeminent port-wine-like flavors. The beer is not as full bodied as one would expect from such a powerful ABV. Overall a nice brew.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 bunget (325) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 11, 2013
330ml bottle. An opaque brown body, big mocha head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of wine, yeast, roasted malt, coriander, herbal hops, a little cheesy. Taste of yeast, caramel, figs, raisins, bitter herbal hops, coriander, dried dark berries. The alcohol is there, but not too prominent. A good warming effect, and a little sticky.
