3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Poured a hazy medium brown with a large fizzy light brown head that rapidly dissipated and had poor lacing. The aroma was heavy with caramel malts and a sweet doughy yeast with a hint of dried fruit, some spices and a strong wine scent. It tasted moderately sweet with a strong dried fruit note at first and finished ever so lightly sour-sweet with a nice caramel flavor and a mild alcohol tinge at the end with the flavor lasting and average duration. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and a little syrupy in texture with a mild carbonation. Overall a nice refreshing change to the typical Belgian Strong Ale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The Nostradamus is a really nice Belgian strong out of the bottle. I’m sure it’s even better on draft. I found this bottle in the cooler at the Craft Ale House in Limerick, PA. The beer is true to the profile of a Belgian double or quad. It pours a dark brown color with a purplish hue. The head is very minimal and doesn’t leave a whole lot of lacing around the glass. The nose is full of sweet malt, yeast, alcohol and dark fruits. The flavors are much of the same, with a really complex mouthfeel and finish.

Poured from a 300 ml bottle. Dark brown color with a light head. Beautiful strong aroma. A sweet honey taste that covers up the strong beer but at the end doesn?t leave much on the pallette. Good start, no finish.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a murky dark copper, with a typical massive Belgian light tan head. Fair lacing. Nose is sour dark fruit and Belgian yeast. Taste is very smooth, with slightly sweet sour dark fruit up front, and a slight tang on the finish. Delightful.
