1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 JorisPPattyn (7310) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 6, 2005
Draught Fully hazy amber-olive; good yellowish head, leaving lace. Nose of diacetyl, flowery, butterscotch. Honey, diacetyl, green beer AND glue. This is one amassment of severe shortcomings. Sticky, but the beer is refreshing - at least one good thing. Whatever did the brewer think of getting this beer out of the tanks already?

Slightly hazy yellow. Aroma of corriander and some sweet malts. Maybe some anise. Lots of fruity esters of citrus apricots and cloves from a high ferment temp no doubt. Some sourish notes w/ a nice drying hoppy finish.

Clean lemon-yellow body with a sudsy white head. Estery nose of light banana and citrus with a pale malt underbelly and clove-like notes. Very good balance of phenolic spice, nutty malt, and moderate levels of stale Noble hops. Light but noticeable alcohol. A very solid Belgian blonde ale. This would make a great session beer. Light enough to stick with but keeps your interest. Thanks to Stan Hieronymus for sharing this rarity straight from Belgium.
