4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fuzzy gold color, lingering white head. Citrus and straw aroma. Flavors also include light spice, orange spritz, grains, significant carbonation like a soda water. For a session brew this is very easy while flavorful. A tad more citrus than some wits without any significant banana. I’ve had this for years in bottles and in SoCal on tap and I’ve been to the brewery. Tasty and refreshing.

ZBF2008: From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a little white head. Light caramel malt and with a little coriander spice note. Flavour is almost grapefruity, mild hoppy bitter. Light yeasty note in addition to the previous flavours into the finish. Nice.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Slightly hazy gold with a large white head. Yeasty aroma with something vegetal, a bit like tomato. Slightly sour taste with some bready malt. Very slight bitterness. Rather a flaccid beer; not one to look out for.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ Sep 07. The first glass pours very pale yellow with just the slightest of hazes - a lot of yeast flakes remain in the bottle, though. Weak, unstable head. A sniff from the bottle reveals citrus and vanilla; when poured, yeast notes dominate in the nose. Lemony sourish taste underneath which a very gentle spiciness dwells. Very light bodied, moderate carbonation, a bit oily mouthfeel. A good refresher, but not much more.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, pale golden with a white head. Very spicy aroma with typical accents of coriander and citrus. Light body with a lightly tart citric edge and then again fairly spicy accents. Dry finish, almost lactic, with no real bitterness. I bet this would be a refreshing quencher in the summer. 221106
