GodOfThunder (30), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 7, 2008 Pours a bright, but cloudy, yellow with a fizzy head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is of lemons and clove with yeast and some malt. The taste is a strong wheat with more of the same lemon and clove. Overall, a good Belgian Wit. bb (2168), Martinez, California, USA Oct 4, 2008 Bottle. Pale straw color with a nice whitish head. Nice yeasty, richer malt (only shows up in the nose) aroma. Yeasty, wheaty flavor with orange and lemon. Medium-light body. Very refreshing. Citrus lingers with the wheat and spicey yeast at the end. mekju_baksa (16), Houston, Texas, USA Sep 24, 2008 Bottle. It’s neither heavy nor strong, but rather enjoyable and delicious! The beer’s home is a small Belgian village close to the French border called Namur. The recurring theme on each label is that of spiral snail shell from which the brewery takes its name. Apparently the snail is the emblem of Namur and the word for a snail in local Namurois dialect is "Caracole". Troublette had a low alcohol rating and features a complex mixture of citrus and hops, it pairs excellently with a light pasta meal with seafood or chicken. Recommended for a spring afternoon. Avengedpoet (63), Mesa, Arizona, USA Sep 15, 2008 Pours a very hazy pilsener color with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is typical caracole yeasty goodness, but lightened up considerably by the wheat. Taste is very light, lots of pilsener taste, light spiciness from the yeast. Not terribly complicated, but very thirst quenching. fata2683 (178), APO, New York, USA Sep 14, 2008 Light hazy yellow with a nice head that sticks around. Taste was a little too dull for me, almost tasted watered down. Some sourness that is left unbalanced by very weak bitterness.
