Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has a hazy light yellow color and nice large white head, with a lot of bubbles. The aroma has clear tones of Belgian yeast, citrus, bananas and spices (coriander like). The taste is soft and refreshing, yet a little sour, but overall very fruity with nice tones of bananas and citrus. In the end the bitterness of spices is noticable. The finish is refreshing, light bitter but also a little sour. A nice addition to the Belgian White but it´s pretty standard.

Murky yellow, medium frothy white head. Nose is spice, wheat, citric notes, slight sweet notes. Flavor is citric, wheat, crisp, some hoppy bitterness in the finish, mild yeasty notes. Pretty crisp and drinkable.

11.2 oz bottle at home. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have Belgian yeast, bready malts, mild floral character, citrus, decent enough but not very exciting.

Caracole’s wit, with a misty ochre blonde colour and creamy snow white head with good retention. Fruity and wheaty nose, sweetish with a soft sourishness and elegant spiciness, some citrus, some coriander. Soft mouthfeel, refreshing, sweetish, mellow, yeasty with a dryish finish. Another Hoegaarden clone, but a rather nice one this time, with an artisanal quality and good balance.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems & Zoon. Totally hazy citrus golden, solid fluffy white head. Nose is sweet yoghurt like wheat mixed with dash of soda, artificial lemon, good artificial lemonade,… Taste is artificial lemon sorbet, meringue sweet sugary wheat, soda, artificial lemonade, good kind of sweetener, candy,… Tad coriander, spices in the back. Thicker soda / starch body. Tastes artificial but still very good for the style, granted a style of which I’m not the biggest fan.

Yeasty aroma and cloudy light gold color with a full bodied mellow buttery flavor. Not sour, but a mellow flavor.

Een van de betere witbieren die in België zijn, echt een aanrader, zelfs voor mensen die niet zo van witbier houden zoals mezelf

Appearance is golden, slightly hazy, plenty of carbonation, a huge three-finger white pillowy head which eventually settles down. Leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma- cut grass hints, wheat, malt, spicy, fruity hints. Taste- spices, plenty of malt, a little creamy, some bitterness at the end, juicy hop hints, cereal and wheat. Nice.
