4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Based on the reviwes I read. This is the beer I hoped for. Nice wheat character. Sweet with a fresh hop on the finish. Soft mellow beautiful beer that will never offend in any way. Very delicate and comfortable beer. A pleasure to drink with the love of your life on a beautiful sunlit day on a shady porch with a soft sea breeze blowing in. That’s what this beer is like. Very enjoyable.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Initially poured clear and golden until I stirred up the yeast from the bottom of the bottle and dumped that in. Now it is a hazy straw color, topped by ¾” cream colored sudsy foam. Aroma a bit floral with a strong Lemonhead Candy presence. Very good lacing.
Tart flavor with dry wheat, sour lemon peel, and tangy orange juiciness. Exceptional flavor. Almost medium bodied, gently but liberally carbonated, nice citrus aftertaste.
The bottle says to serve at 42 degrees, but I served it ten degrees warmer in a Chimay goblet, and I’m glad I did.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
A- Body is an opaque golden yellow. Pours with an approximately 2 finger white that slowly dwindles to 1/2 finger and has perfect retention. Plenty of lacing is left behind in the glass. Cloudiness is very dense and uniform. Overall hue is darker than most witbiers. Some black sediment can be seen at the bottom of the glass.
S-Smell is sharply citrus and this dominates the nose. Corriander and yeast in the background.
T-Unlike the smell the taste is very well balanced. Citrus and coriander come through with equal strength upfront and there is a subtle bready yeast undertone. There is a mild kick of hops for the finish while the citrus intensifies. A slight tartness along with some sweet, bready yeast linger. The whole profile is full but mellow.
P-Medium carbonation and very light body. Mouthfeel is extraordinarily yeasty and smooth.
O- This is an excellent witbier with a nice mellow profile. It is easily one of my favorites of the style. This is a real Belgian wit that has a great character. Perfect session beer.

translucent gold with a thick dense white head, smooth medium body with fine-bubbled medium carbonation.
aroma: pale malt, bitter orange, a bit of tart wheat and herbal hops.
taste: pale malt, lots of bitter orange rind, herbal hops, and then some coriander in the finish. more oily orange rind character than any other witbier i can think of.
the high level of bitter orange and herbal character really gives this beer great pairing ability.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A honey/lemon beer with some muted spiciness, hidden behind a citrus veil. Extremely tasty and not unlike Hoegaarden. Highly carbo-ed like much of the witbier style (so I can’t fault it for that). I could just keep drinking this stuff!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 30, 2003 Poured way too cold but warmed and warped into something like a wildly rounded wit pressing in on brown territory. Honey, curacao, a mild nutty flavor, better warming and softened, easy easy drinking.

(bottle conditioned). Pale yellow, yeasty appearance. Wheat and citrus, musty spice aroma. Medium-bodied with a nice musty tartness and earthy iron quality. Frothy spirited high caronation. Crisp, clean finish with a lingering twang that insists dried apricots. This'd be great with fruit and cheese! Just great.

Fridge Temp. Fruity and bright with loud spicy notes, and that is just the aroma. The flavor draws in sourness and a rich light fruit complexity. Leaves with brilliant aromatic aftereffects. An unexpected gem this one was.

(33cl bottle) Purchased at the BC Liquor Store on Cambie for $2.95. Pours a "GUSHER!" as said by Lubiere upon its opening. Dissipatying, white frothy head with a cloudy deep yellow body. Nose is wildly Belgian - like Saxo and Fantome mixes. Wild, herbal, tart raspberry and yeasty. Super great!
