COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
UNA CERVEZA TIPO LAGER CLARA PERO CON MUCHO CUERPO MUY AROMATICA Y FRESCA. CON DOS TIPOS DE MALTA DE CEBADA Y DOBLE FERMENTACION EN BOTELLA SE CONSIGUE UN PRODUCTO EQUILIBRADO Y SUAVE AL ESTAR POCO LUPULIZADA

EN:Double-malt lager, with second fermentation inside the bottle. It’s a very malted beer, though soft, precisely to enhance the aromas and flavors of the ceveda which it’s made with. This beer in particular marries with all kinds of cheese and asparagus or artichokes, and any kind of vegetable pie (potato omelette for example).

Editor’s note: apparently the alcohol moved from the 5.8% of the first batches to 5% (April 2012)

A very average lager for claiming the name premium, but at least is well made in comparition with many Spanish premium "beers" For cap collectors: golden cap with the Casasola monk in black.

750ml. bottle, mine is the 5% one. Pours a hazy golden colour with a tiny head that does not hold but leaves ome lace. Smell of herbs and spices, I think I can smell thyme and clove? Medium body with a creamy palate, taste is sweet and malty, with hints of herbs and spices again. Some honey comes in the end. Though the aroma is faint and the taste is strange for a lager (and you can’t really tell separately any of the things you taste), is a really good and easy to drink beer. I could tray it anytime. I think that probably it will become better with more experience and batches.

Taboada (311) - Compostela (Galiza), - AUG 2, 2013

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2013 750ml bottle @ Cervecería L´Europe, Madrid, summer 2011. Herbal aromas. Pours bright gold, with nice thick white head, long-lasting. Some lacework. Light to meduim body and high carbonation. Taste is malty, sweet, herbal, some fruity. Moderate bitter aftertaste. Enjoyable. Update October 2013: watery, sweet, high carbonation, floculated.

Bottle from El Corte Inglés (Gourmet), Seville
5% ABV, bb 01/2013

Cloudy deep blond color with small head. The aroma indeed is very nice, with noble continental hops, smooth, maybe Hallertau, and some malt sweetness that is a nice complement; later, there is an impression of honey.
The mouthfeel is quite smooth, there is some malt flavor with a grassy touch; the bitterness is medium and the hops seem to bring more cereal character than the expected grassy sharpness; it also has a very light liquorice touch. Light and easy to drink.
Atypical, but very interesting.

CORPO / CARBONATAZIONE / CONSISTENZA corpo medio, ben carbonata ( 2ª fermentazione in bottiglia), fluisce bene in bocca. Spagna sta crescendo a vista d’occhio.
