Tap @ La Cervesera Artesana, Barcelona.
Pours hazy yellow with a nice, staying, frothy, white head. Nice lacings. Aroma is sweet, some heather honey, crisp malts and light fruitiness. Prickly, highish carbonation, a bit thin and watery. Flavour is quite sweet, only weak honey notes, some maize-ish malts. Boring with only a dash of dryness.

A Sim rate (on tap at the brewpub): Not much in the aroma which is disappointing for a honey beer. Maybe that’s because of the immense amount of smoke in this place. There’s really nothing at all. The flavour too is quite bland. There’s bitterness in the malty finish but otherwise it’s very standard. Not bad. Not great.

Bland. Yellowish color with a white head. For something they described as a honey beer there was not much sweetness at all. The mouthfeel was light and the aftertaste almost non-existant.

Comments: A rather bland offering, pale, watery and poorly extracted ingredients. I did not find it as sweet as my brethren.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy blond color. Light malt aroma. Similar to the blonde/rubia, as well with a taste of dirty water; less bitter. No honey to talk about.

Bottled. The worst we had from Artesana. Aroma is mainly honey. Hazy, dark yellow color, tiny off-white head, no lace. Sweet, honey, grass, light bitter. Thick, sticky, cloying and flat. Seems to be the Pale Ale with honey overloaded leaving just sweetness and covering up all the nice floral stuff.

Draught in brewpub. The best of the beers we had; pale, sweetish without being cloying and that lovely honey stickiness all through. Subtle, balanced and interesting.
