From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to blackwith a lacing off-white head. Vague aroma, light roasted though. Mild fruity flavoured to a light acidic touch. Lingering roasted malty flavoured alongside a nice hops fruity note into a dry and bitter finish.

Tap @ La Cervesera Artesana, Barcelona.
Pours deep brown with a fine, staying, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is soft sweet, caramel and light blackberries. Medium carbonation, good dryish mouthfeel. Flavour is rather fresh, light roasted malts and some subdued cocoa-powder. Saved by it’s fine finish.

A Mes rate: Tap at Cervesera Artesana.
The ABV was listed on the menu as 4.5% for what it’s worth. Semi translucent, dark red brown with a good, lasting beige head and plenty of lace. Damn (not the brewer, the expression) that’s a good smell. Lovely roasted malt, burnt toast, some caramel, lots of rubber and a lick of resinous hops. Well balanced, complex and very Scandinavian, I really did NOT expect that. A little more basic in the mouth but it’s still pretty decent. All the roastiness is there. Good dark chocolate and an excellent rubbery finish with some pretty aggressive, resinous hoppage. Bitter and dry and very enjoyable stout. The only thing it is missing is a bit more body. By the way, this was poured close to freezing cold. I drank a whole other beer while I warmed it with a bit of cuppage. Made a huge difference.

A clear stout, dark clear brown with a thick light moka head. Light caramel aroma. In mouth, a light chocolate and black coffee with lots of nuttyness. Very thin in mouth, but nice hopping present. On tap at brewery, mid Nov. 2006.

Served way too cold. Dark copper color with an off-white head. The first thing that hit me was the bitterness. After that, there was nothing particularly extraordinary about the beer. However, at least it was fresh and different from most other beer available in Barcelona.

Found Cervecera Artesana through Rate Beer. Dark, with a long creamy head. Taste like coffe and chocolate, really enjoyable.

Draught at the brewpub, sold as Negra
Dark amber color; bigger foam than the other beers here. Light malt and yeast aroma. The taste has quite a lot of caramel. The final is strong and the hop seems good (and a lot of caramel and roasted malt). Not bad.
