330 ml bottle. Almost clear until the last pour, that’s hazy yellow, golden body under a big white head. Quite mild but delicate aroma of grain, spices, yeast, fruit and soap. Flavor is sweet pale malt, some fruit, spicy yeast, wheat and some coriander. Medium pluss body and average aftertaste. Nothing special or extraordinary really, just a pretty average slightly undefined Belgium ale with some Biere de garde, Saison and Triple qualities. No off flavors and somehow quite pleasant after a while without being impressive.

Belle robe blonde, mousse crémeuse. Nez assez complexe, fruits jaunes, agrumes, houblon, note crayeuse, foin. Bouche à l’attaque fraîche, une belle tension, du fruit, une fine bulle et une finale à la fois amère et acidulée. Une bière assez typée, bien équilibrée.

(tap 0,3l @ Delirium Café (Brussels))
Aroma: Light yeasty, light citrusy peel, fruity.
Appearance: Hazy light yellow color. Medium, white head.
Taste: Citrusy fruits, light sweet.
Palate: Long dry, citrusy bitter finish.
Overall: Unusual. Wheat/saison-like. (Later I discovered that it is Bière de Garde style.)

25 cl bottle. Pours unclear blonde, good white head. Smell is sweet, intense maltyness. Some banana yeast. Taste is bit bitter, sharp maltyness, slightly metallic maybe. Much abbey yeast, Not sure what its listed for as a BDG , since the bottle mentiones tripel and it does taste like one too.

My first biere de garde, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Aromas like a semi sweet white wine, like a Riesling with clean fruity notes. Tastes similar to a relatively sweet Riesling as well, plus a bit of grassiness reminiscent of a saison. Pretty tasty, but pretty similar to a saison I think.

Bottle from Sugaya. Pours a cloudy deep orange with a low, fine head. Grainy, fruity nose: orange, light lemon, honey biscuits, stewed stone fruits, minerals. Fruity, biscuity flavor. Nicely tart, orange, apricot, light honey. Rather full and silky. Probably better classified as a tripel, which the label also claims it is, as well as a beer for storing. Tartness works.
