Bottle: Poured a cloudy dark amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with some dry malt. Taste is a weird mix between some dry malt with some sweet candi sugar notes and a somewhat weird corn note. Body is quite full with some average carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Some promise but the corn notes and the over dry finish kind of ruin this one.

[4142-20111124] 500mL bottle. Strange leafy fruit resin aroma. Hazy, light brown orange body with a quick creamy white head. Toasted bread yeasty fruit flavour has a long toasted malt aftertaste. Medium body is a little sour. It doesn’t seem like it should be sour. (5/3/5/3/9) 2.5
Overheard: "Maybe all their beers are made with moose extract?"

Bottle [500ml] shared with HogTownHarry, jerc & mabel -- c/o j&m. Nov. 2011. Pours a hazy orange-copper with a small diminishing fizzy white head. Somewhat unpleasant aroma of "bottle" along with canned peas, fruit and light hops. Flavour is fruity along with those canned peas again, light hops, herbs, sugar and a light bitter finish. Average bodied. Flavour’s a little better then the aroma but I did not care for this.

2011-11-24. Hazy golden body with a nice foamy beige head. Flavour is off putting up front, grainy and oddly tangy, bit of a spicy note? Interesting aroma, spicy yeast, notes of a grainy malt character common to many Quebec brews, possibly hinting at oxidation? 6+ Average plus bodied palate. Finishes better than it starts, but a bit odd around the edges. Bottle from Dépanneur Tout-Près, Lévis

pours orange, slight haze, with a small white head, low retention and lacing. fresh cereals, spices, oranges, citrus, pepper, toasted sweetness. soft carbonation, light to medium body, short peppery finish.

Bière trouble couleur de miel, sur dépôts de levures. Elle ne produit aucun col. Des arômes fruités de pêches, de terre humide,d’herbes vertes. Légèrement amère avec une trace de sucre résiduel. De corps moyen, à l’effervescence légère, elle laisse une fin honnête et aromatique.

Aroma: Belgian yeast , sweet feel to it ,leafy green hop character, slight citric hint. Clean malt with streak of alcohol.
Appearance: hazed amber on top large frothy head. Low carbonation.4-
Flavour and Palate: Medium bodied. Rather low carbonation. Bitter hop character with yeasty background. On sides alcohol. Refreshing stronger Belgian Ale.

La couleur du liquide oscille entre l’ambrée et le brun. La mousse est convenable et persistante. Le nez est dominé par une levure fruitée et quelque peu épicée. Léger parfum des houblons. Quelques notes de grains maltées qui apportent des effluves sucrées. Au goût, on retrouve beaucoup de levure et des fruits acides avec la présence modérée de notes amères provenant des houblons. Finale grimaçante sur des notes aigres.

Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of caramel malts. Taste is very malty with yeast and alcohol. meh.

Bottle. Dirty gold with a moderate head. Light chalky aroma. Flavour is chalk, alcohol, yeast, metalic.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2010 Bottle 50cl. Yellow ale quite clear with normal head. Smell is very hopy with malt notes. Aroma is very hoppy and bitter with herbal notes and caramel notes. Body is medium to low, finish is short and dry, long bitter aftertaste which is not bad with yeast flavor.Very drinkable but I think you’re right probstk there is some diacetyl notes at the finish.
