My Bottom Line:
Buttery oak, doughy yeast and banana esters whirl about in this bubbly Barrel-Aged Tripel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the cloudy blond.
-The flavor profile is slightly oxidized. Surprising since this beer is rather young.
-This might have benefited from some blending. As is, the flavor profile is quite rough.
-Alcohol warmth heats up the finish.
-Oak and esters don’t quite come together (could it be too old already?).

Bottle.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dark beige color ale with a nice dirty foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light candi sugar notes with some light fruity ester and some spicy yeast is quite nice. Taste is a mix between some rustic malt notes with light fruity ester and candi sugar notes offset by some spicy yeast notes and the whole mix is well rounded by the oak notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Very well brewed and addition of oak provided nice level of complexity.

Faible amertume, corp moyen. Carbonation moyenne a élevé.

Pours a hazy dark golden with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is of live brett, oak and spices. Taste is quite dry, spicy and fruity. Flavors of pear and various non-standout yellow fruits. A bit hot which hinders drinkability but this is a tripel after all so who am I to tell? Body is medium, carbonation aggressive. Not bad at all but a bit unrefined to my taste.

Bottle 330ml. Pours slightly hazy blond with low-medium white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is of fruits, belgian yeast, oak, wine, alcohol. Taste is of fruits, belgian yeast, wine, sugar. Alcohol well hidden. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Low-medium carbonation. Silky texture. Overall: Nice, fancy brew. Nothing cloying here. Quite good.

Blonde. Légèrement voilé. Nez de beurre. Boisé. Riche. Épice. Vanille. Bouche: sucré. Caramel. Riche. Mais avec une finale sèche. Boisé. Fine acidité/brett. Fruité. Levure. Excellente.

330 ml bottle - thanks, czar. Pours a veiled pale golden with a nice white head. Flavor is fruity (ripe pear, orange), mint, oldish-humid. Finish is lemon, wood, dry, pepper, grapefruit. Lingering pear and pepper. Some oak. Light to medium body, weak carbonation. Strong and complex, unfortunately was not quite worth its price. Does not feel like the oak aging added much...

pours hazy pale yellow with a nice white head, some retention and lacing. chewy fruitiness, bananas, wood - not overwhelming, celery, chardonnay but also with some tannins, booze, phenols. lively to moderate carbonation, medium body - oily and almost sticky, bit awkwardcitrusy finish. surprisingly liked this one - barrel treatment did well to the initial brew, which i disliked.. no miracle though.
