MitchWayne (264), Kokkola, Finland Apr 21, 2009 Great summer drink and goes down great all year round, spicy, refreshing and strong. Alldaydrinker (557), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Apr 20, 2009 Pours a hazy super large, clogged particulated glass of yeast mixed in with the golden color you try to see. This is far the most and largest particulated brew I have come across. It made my girlfriend and little nervous, haha. Nose is straight up banana, touch of fruits, clove, yeast, corriander, spice. Initial taste is fruity hinting the banana from the nose but also demonstrating spice gives the beer a good balance. Finishing good hop character. Light to medium body. Average palate duration. Above average head retention. sigma23 (217), , Maine, USA Apr 18, 2009 2008 collectors 1.5ltr bottle. aroma is sweet malts, Belgian sugar, coriander, pine. drinks smooth and sweet upfront with some hops peaking out through the front and with a nice sweet/spicy/alcohol "warming" coming through the middle and finishes out with a nice sugary sweetness that has just a bit of a spice bite. after taste is sweet/spicy and lingers only a few minutes, but is very tasty. i’d recommend getting another bottle basewars (144), Albany, New York, USA Apr 10, 2009 Bottle. Pours a golden amber/cloudy yellow with a ton of effervescent white head. The aroma is is banana, apple, and some light alcohol. Flavor is sweet with bubblegum and banana. No hops. Syrupy palate. Clean finish. Exceedingly drinkable despite the alcohol. Very good. tarheels86 (703), Washington DC, USA Apr 10, 2009 750 mL into tulip. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a beautiful, three-finger white head with great retention and spotty lacing. Strong witbier aroma of cloves, coriander, nutmeg along with floral hops and pineapple juice. Taste is sugary with Belgian yeast, pineapple, peach, banana, citrus hops, spices. Cloying alcohol knocks this one down a few points. Nice, dry finish. Yum. Beer2000 (1775), Kristiansand, Norway Apr 9, 2009 On tap @ Cafe Belgique. Hazy orange body with a big, foamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet malty, citric fruity, spicy and a hint of alcohol. Flavor is sweet malty, very fruity, and spicy with a light and warming hint of alcohol with a gentle, balanced bitterness. Really nice, quite mild, flavorful and dangerous quaffable.
hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Apr 7, 2009 Pours a coudy golden orange colour with a medium sized bubbly white head.
Aroma is mainly soft fruit and citrus with hints of bubblegum, corriander, honey, banana and spice. Tastes very similar to the aroma, like a triple wheat beer. Banana, corriander, bubblegum, citrus and spice. The dry bite on the finish is refreshing and makes you want to drink more. Mouthfeel is excellent, fine bubbles and mouth filling. Nice one! Rodders (114), Norwich, Norfolk, England Apr 5, 2009 (750ml Bottle from Fat Cat, Norwich) Ahhh! Bottle spewed its contents as soon as the bottle cap came off - managed to evade disaster with some quick thinking pouring into the glass though. Most of the contents remain. Probably got yeast mixed up though. Cloudy in appearance, orange coloured with a medium white head that quickly went. Flowery smell, little bit of hoppiness - elements of citrus, orange, coriander, vanilla, banana and spices. Very pleasant. Well balanced smooth taste - finishes sweet and fresh. Very nice - rich, clear, refreshing. Many of the aromas translate into the drink. Warming alcohol and prickly carbonation. Brilliant.
