Golden-amber with a big, puffy, cream colored head. Pretty decent lacing. Aroma of coriander, hay, citrus, plumeria, grass, caramel. The flavor is caramel and yeast with some spice and hops. Medium-full body, average carbonation, slightly dry. Good stuff, not too sweet. The alcohol is really well hidden. I’m glad I finally got this, the green bottle freaked me out for a long time...

Pours a hazy brown with a minimal head. Smells of leaves, bread and flowers. Powerful, enlivening aroma. Tastes sweet and rich. Robust.

Yeasty, saison-like aroma with some spices. Flavour is close to saison too, it has yeast, peppery spices and hints of citrus. Good Belgian Ale, very refreshing after Sauna. I like this at age of 1-2 years, younger is a bit messy and older contains too much sweet parfym-like toffee like many aged belgian.
Adding the yeast makes this a bit too sweet for me when it combines with the hops.

Aroma: Big on citrus fruits...beer having a sale? Hehe...fruity, spices, flowery, honey like smells. Much like a tripel and quite phenolic/estery. Possible coriander too. Appearance: Chimay glass. Hazy golden orange with a three finger bright white super fluffy head. Carbonation on a trip and is everywhere in the glass. Beer looks quite healthy. Taste: Decent, but it’s a little lacking in complexity. Honey-like in flavour with a slight hops presence in the finish. Some spices too. Palate: This is where it kinda falls...beer is kinda flat, probably shouldn’t have been so damn pour happy with it. Mouthfeel on the thin side of things, though creamy. Alcohol is nowhere to be found again. Overall: It’s nice but not outstanding. Availability isn’t the best and it costs just as much as St. B. Tripel, which I like better, and the Westmalle tripel which is mind-blowing in comparison. Definitely worth drinking, but it didn’t blow my mind.

Dark golden-light orange colour with massive white head. Low carbonation. Aroma of hay, leafs, burnt wood along with coriander and other oriental spices and a small note of apricot. Flavour of bread, strong barley and malt flavours. Very good finish. A mature, well balanced Belgian with the fragrances and tastes of some rural landscape.

On tap at a cafe in Antwerp. Vibrant orange with lots of head. Malty and yeasty aroma. Had this a number of times before and I always find it refreshing, lovely beer.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2011 Bottle. Pours a cloudy copper with lots of visible carbonation. Sweet orange aroma with yeast and pepper. Taste is very sweet brown sugar with subtle spice. Any hop presence simply balances the sweetness. Soft carbonation on the palate with malty, fruity finish.

Bottle from Alko. Originally rated on 28.5.2010. Nice, well balanced blonde ale. Notes of spices, fruits and hops.
