One of the "normal" Belgian Strong Ale’s with the richest taste. The alcohol makes it’s way clearly through into the final reception of the taste but it luckely doesn’t rule. Especially it’s Palate is good for it enrolls great into your mouth with it’s medium body and rather thin texture.

Poured from a 1500 ml bottle at Vin Rouge, Durham, NC. Enjoyed with mussels and frites. Could not have asked for a better beer for the meal. Light and ephervessant. It is dry like a champagne but easy to drink and refreshing. This beers has many qualities of a Belgium yet without the overbearing spices or taste of alcohol. Definitely my favorite Belgian now.

Cloudy, golden, foamy, bitter, spicy, herbal. Sweet and dry. Slow, bitter aftertaste. Excellent beer.

AROMA: herbs, peppery almost, APPEARANCE: dark golden TASTE: lightly bitter, light sweetness PALATE: full body, slick feel, lively, bitter, long sugary aftertaste OVERALL: good aroma of herbs with strong aftertaste going from bitter to sugary. A winterwarmer that is strangely refreshing?

complex and very belgian, yet lacking any enjoyable malt character. most of the flavor is derived from the yeast, which has some musty quality to it. i find some belgian beers amazing, but most to be nothing special. this fits squarely in the not so special group.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Spicy and fruity yeasty aroma with some floral notes. The flavor is spicy and flowery with a nice hoppy hint. Good stuff.
