Slighly cloudy. Orange color. Amber hoppy aroma. Bit spicy. Same kind of taste. Bit fruity. Certainly no alcohol present, who does notice it?! Definitely worth a personal top50-position!

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2012 Sept, 2002 I found this pleasant, but over dominated by the high alcohol content which dominated the experience - especially toward the end. I feel that a beer this strong, limiting as it will one’s consumption (and costing so much!), should offer something special. There is a nice firm malt body, light, but pleasant, like warm Shreddies; a little spice dance on the nose and tongue with a hint of orange, and a huge alcohol wallop in the finish. There is little else, but a fine beer nevertheless. [2.9]
Aug, 2008. Chris_o’s GBBF Shindig - 1998 bottle from Joris’ cellar. Sweet, yeasty & pleasant. Some strength in the finish. Quite good. [3.3]
Feb, 2012. Marseille. Drunk cool from the fridge. Pleasant light pale beer with aromatic flavourings. Creamy carbonation. A pleasant beer - easy drinking and refreshing. Best drunk chilled. The dwarf imagery is cute. [3.4]

I wish I could rave about this beer like everyone else but I didn’t taste such an abundance of flavours that I had expected. Huge head with excellent mouthfeel, spicy, but predominantly yeast driven flavour, I expect I served this one in less than ideal conditions.

Looks nice with a big pillowy head. Nose is a bit floral. But there is something about this one’s flavor that I can’t get past - a vegetable or earthy quality that I can’t quite place, smells a bit like pea soup. Maybe the green bottle has taken it’s toll on this particular brew, judging by the other reviews I think I got a subpar example. Although the date on the bottle reads 11/05/2004 this tastes very stale. I’ll re-rate a little later on. This is a beer that I really wanted to like....

Foaming out of the bottle and pouring with a big head and a golden body with lots of tiny floaties, citrus and spices in the nose. Complex flavors with a touch of alcohol presence; slightly sweet with nice spicy and hoppy notes, dry finish. Excellent ale.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2003 Slightly hazy, golden colored. Nice head and soapy lace. Aroma of saaz, lemon, corriander, malt, honey and others. Light to medium bodied, soft feel, nicely carbonated, pale malt base spiced with corriander, hopped to perfection with saaz and goldings, floral and peppery notes to boot. Dry finish with yeast evident to add character. Tons of style and class. A belgium pilsener if you will. Enjoy gentleman.

yellow-orange color with great bubbly white head. aroma is smooth and subtle, only a hint of hoppiness as the beer warms. the flavor is multi-faceted. Starts fruity then slides to the spiciness and a bit of coriander. then the flavor becomes quite floral and finishes with the coriander and flowers mixing with a subtle touch of hops in the background. the alcohol is well hidden but i can definitely feel it.
