On tap on Prinsengracht. Available widely in A’dam and VERY good. Does have a strong kick in it but very smooth, malty tasty.

(bottle) pours a bubbly, clear golden colour with a huge rocky white head. aroma of tangy, citric hop spices, with light tropical fruits, pale malt and yeast. flavour is dominated by a fresh citric hoppiness. medium body, strongly carbonated with a bitter finish.

clear gold color, beautiful belgian lace, sweet nose, bananas, sweet flavor but not at all cloying, apple, spicy hop bitters, dry metallic finish, this ale lacks complexity against other Belgian strong goldens, though still an excellent ale. +1 point overall for having a gnome on the label (http://gnartoons.com/COMICS/Special/Gnome/GnomeHome.html)

Dégustée dans un verre chimay, édition 2008. Bière de couleur mangue clair avec peu de mousse et une faible carbonation. Au nez, le citron, le thym , le sel et la crême tourbillonnent autour de la levure. Au goût, le thym, la coriande, la pelure d’orange, la levure, la crême et le houblon tapissent ma langue doucement. Bière d’une grande finesse avec un goût d’alcool léger. Tout ce joue dans l’équilibre.

Bottle. Hazy yellow colour with huge creamy white mostly lasting head. Fruity aroma. Sweet spicy flavor. Creamy palate.

excellent beer with lots of spices. rich and heavenly good. Lucky to enjoy all the 0.75 l bottle on my own.

Deep gold, thin white head. Aroma is light alcohol, yeast, light spice. Taste is light alcohol, yeast, hops, nutmeg.
