Russo (595), Campinas, Brazil Dec 24, 2008 Bottled. Cloudy orange color with a nice and persistent white head. Aroma is complex, some floral notes and citrus like orange. Flavor is quite different with sweetness and bitterness, alcohol is almost no perceptible . Mouthfeel is tastefully, like some nice sweety citrus fruit. Good Beer. Flamojune (93), Ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada Dec 23, 2008 Couleur doré quand meme tres legere pour une 8% comparer a unibroue Une belge forte classique sans plus ni moins Un must esox (259), Oulu, Finland Dec 21, 2008 750 cl. bottle, aged for one year. Pours orange and sparkling wit a huge, fluffy head. Spicy and somewhat malty aroma has coriander, orange peel, honeyish malts and floral hops. A hint of alcohol in the finish. The flavor has sweetness of oranges, a bit caramelly malts and then tartness of lemon. The finish is moderately bitter and alcohol is present but not disruptively. The palate is smooth and carbonation is not a problem when using e.g. Duvel or Chimay glass. Medium body and surprisingly easy to drink for such a strong beer.
