La Chouffe

Golden color with thin white head that persists throughout. Fruity, floral and citrusy aroma. Similar to a farmhouse. Fruity and slightly hoppy flavor. Dry finish. Alcohol not noticable.

Aroma is fruity, orange, orange peel and spices. Very orange-fruity, a bit sweetish and spicy flavor finishes quite dry, bitter and spicy. Alcohol doesn’t taste, but warms very nicely. Medium-bodied palate is warming and quite easy to drink. So balanced, awesome beer : )

(0.75 l bottle on 2008-07-25) Orange. Hazy. Large dense white head. Fruity acidic nose. Medium-bodied palate with quite lot of carbonation. Frutiy, bitter and citric taste with hops and light spiciness.

Tap at Sunswick in Queens.Poured a cloudy amber with a thin white head. Nice yeasty fruity nose. With similar flavor to follow, interesting spicey flavor to it, with a nice creamy mouthful.A very pleasant and tasty beer

petit 11.2 oz bottle. big fizzy head. hazy gold color with sediment floating about. sweet aroma of wheat, yeast, spice and lemon. Sweet taste to match. A sweet bready flavor - then citrus (orange peel maybe) - then dries out on the back end with spiciness (cinnamon, coriander) and alcohol. light but full of flavor.

Bottle, 75cl - Orange colored beer with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity malty with strong notes of oranges, caramel and with hints of alcohol. Flavor is very nice, heavy notes of oranges. Alcohol flavor is evident but not overwhelming, instead it brings a nice warming feel to the beer which blends real well with the soft hoppiness. Highly enjoyable!

bottle of big chouffe 2008: pours a golden hay colour that is clean with a verry little white head. aroma is a good sourness with a fresh lively fruit, almost melon like ends with a slight floralness. flavour is excellent slight bitter to start with a touch of funk with just a start of floralness, finishes very well, very nice beer.

A nice hazy almost cloudy light golden colour with a lasting head. Fruity notes. Great size of bottle at 75cl!! mmmmm....nice.
