RomanW70 (297), Providence, Rhode Island, USA Apr 22, 2008 On Tap at Julian’s in Providence. Pours cloudy orange with a huge white head. Aroma of banana, grass, yeast, and citrus. Flavor of grass, citrus, and slightly spicy. Finish is slightly bitter. Medium mouthfeel. Nicely complex beer. Syd (888), Waconia, Minnesota, USA Apr 18, 2008 750 pours a hazed yellow to orange gold with a large bright white head that clings and laces well. The aroma is yeasty, floral, sunshine meadow, fruity, and coriander. The flavor has an initial honey sweetness, followed by spice, some slight hop presence, and a lingering banana like note followed by slight sour citrus. The body is lively and refreshing. The alcohol is well hidden. Overall, I’m glad I finally tried this one. wyzzywyz22 (754), Wirral, Merseyside, England Apr 15, 2008 On tap, Amsterdam. Orangey gold colour with a foamy head. Aroma of malt, licorice, summer flowers, spices. Flavourometer is packed to the brim with shades of coriander, cinnamon and malt. Distinctive light hoppiness gives it wonderful poise. Finish is spicy and sweet with a decent alcoholic kick.
Bit of a classic this fella.

Gusgus (176), Mölndal, Sweden Apr 7, 2008 Magnum bottle @ RBESG 06. Fresh, slightly sour aroma of wheat and spice. Aniseed, coriander and violets. Very bubbly, like a Champagen. Bananas and alcohol is apparent. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Apr 1, 2008 Pours a cloudy, hazy orange with medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet, yeasty, orange, a bit herbal and fresh flowers. Flavor is minimally sweet, floral, orange and spicy. Spicy bitter short finish. Somewhat thin palate for the style. Blom (390), Odense, Denmark Mar 30, 2008 Orange with a ridiculously huge head. Yeasty aroma full of straw, orange peel, coriander and other spices. Sweet and very fruity flavour, again with oranges and coriander being dominant. There is a bit of nice lingering bitternes in the finish. halfonit (423), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Mar 29, 2008 I have to admit I didn’t know what to expect from a bottle with Santa on it. But it wasn’t too bad at all. Good flavor and went down nice and smooth. I’ll have to get this again (if the price goes down a little).
