3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Elwood (1834) - Between a rock and a hard place, Virginia, USA - APR 7, 2010
Serving: 750 ml. bottle from Fireworks.
It pours a hazy gold color with a slight, white head. The nose has notes of corn, licorice, lily of the valley, grain, and a slight floral note. The taste is slightly sweet with dark honey, florals, and a bit of licorice. It has a light body leading to an abrupt, clean finish. Overall a solid brew who’s alcohol remains very well hidden. The prickly carbonation lends a touch of acidity on the tongue. A very solid brew from a very solid brewery. Definitely worth a try.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 milljam (682) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - APR 3, 2010
Initial aroma is yeasty with an almost Brett-like component, followed by fruity esters, spice (maybe some clove) and a hints of hops in the end. Flavor is sweet and fruity with a spicy, dry finish.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 rozsoma (200) - HUNGARY - MAR 26, 2010
Ooh... an unfiltered one. I haven’t noticed before i tasted it. Nice spicy aroma with herbs and some corn-like fragrance. Enermous frothy head (not so long), solid lacing, beautiful hazy mellow body with pale orange colour. The taste is firstly herby also then it turns to a sourish one on tongue. (in flavour it ressemble a bit to cristoffel blondbier, but much more executed) Beautiful hoppiness. Very drinkable, and the alcohol is perfectly hidden. The Magic Chouffe.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 monkeychugg55 (679) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - MAR 25, 2010
Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a small white head and chunks of yeast. Nice fruity aroma with some bread, citrus hops, and Belgian yeast. The flavor is similar, with some earthy breadiness. Quite delicious. The alcohol is undetectable. Medium bodied with soft, floating carbonation and a mostly dry finish.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Brandman (969) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 24, 2010
750 ml bottle. Hazy golden body, thick white head. Aroma has sweet malts, spices and citrus notes. Flavour has sweetness, citrus and spice, but some bread and banana too. Alcohol is slightly present, but not in a bad way.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 pigeon (2) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAR 21, 2010 does not count
A strong complex Blonde from the Ardens forest in Belgium. Cloudy and presented in a 750ml bottle with a gnome on the label, this is a *very* nice drop indeed. Natural, unfiltered with evouliting taste. Just the fact it has a gnome on it brings its presentation score up! All kinds of wonderful flavours, citrus, honey a frothy palatable head than never clears, wonderfully crafted.

La Chouffe is a rather strong beer, but because of the sweet aromas it’s easy to drink. One of my favorites
