Smells a little strong.
Pours a cloudy dark gold.
Taste is not too sweet. Little aftertaste. No hoppy bitterness.
Good amount of carbonation
Overall I was very pleased. Will buy again. Looking forward to cellaring and trying again in a few years.

With an aroma of gentle spices and straw coloured body the beer Is surprisingly smooth and almost cream-like with a flavour that moves from savoury with a touch of sourness to a sweet finish. One of the more unique beers I’ve tried.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from the LCBO. Cloudy pale amber with a large fluffy white head that recedes slowly and leaves patchy lace. Nose is yeast , bubblegum, banana, toffee and spice. Light sweet candy and honey start with a moderate bitterness and a fruity tartness. Hints of pepper and coriander throughout with an underlying earthiness. Medium slick mouth with prickly carbonation. Quite complex.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nose is a stereotypical Belgian affair: spicy, yeasty and notes of coriander. Taste is quite sweet, a pronounced note is apricot jam, along with wheat and ester flavours. Long finish with low bitterness, relatively high carbonation. Contrasts with another favoured Belgian Strong Ale - Duvel - but is more fruity and less dry in the finish.

Gewoon op en top Belgisch biertje, stukken beter als Duvel of wat dan ook.
Heerlijk bier om ’s avonds te degusteren.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 mL bottle. Pours clear golden with a two finger cap of white head. Apple, white pepper and honey on the nose, some apricot and vanilla, sweet cereal malt. Balanced malty sweet with subtle spicy hopping on the finish. Full bodied and full carbonation with a sticky finale. Very nice, but doesn’t shake a stick at their Dobbelen IPA.

Pours deep orange with a fluffy white head. Aromas of apricot and honey, with some yeast. Taste is overwhelmingly sweetish and with a dry end. Fine carbonation. Nice.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Smells great, lees, belgian spices, coriander, light malt. Hazy golden with lingering white head. Fairly neutral and simple flavors, but well balanced. Coriander and belgian spices upfront, a light malt sweetness to finish. Medium bodied and average carbonation. A well balanced, if not overly complex beer.
