Nov 23, 2007 Nov. 23, 2007; bottle. This is a superbly-balanced Belgian golden ale. Fresh, fruity, spicy -- with satisfying malt undertones. Tiny suspended particulate matter is seen when holding the glass to light. Rating this to style (a style which is clearly not everyone’s cup of tea), I can find very little wrong with this beer, which easily works year ’round -- refreshing enough in Summer, and hearty enough in Winter. Highly recommended.

Nov 21, 2007 75cl bottle - poured clear gold, beautiful gold with a big white head. Aroma of oranges, cloves, coriander, yeast. Delicate. Very fresh. Flavour is similarly refreshing and clean with lots of light fruit, including apples, pears, a little bit of banana, etc, along with the yeast and Belgian spices and candy sugar. Light and highly drinkable flavour with no trace of the high alcohol content.

Nov 20, 2007 Large, frothy white head above a slightly hazy body. The nose is spicy and malty with notes of coriander and a touch of clove, ginger, grain, cookie and honey. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet. Just a touch of bitterness. The finish is mostly sweet and slightlly dry. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Watery texture. Drinkable and enjoyable.

Nov 20, 2007 75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head slowly collapsing. Orange peel and coriander spiced fresh aroma with a whiff of spices. Flavour is soft caramel sweet malty, mildly yeast spiced (very classic Belgian) and with a clear tone of coriander.
