This beer pours a golden orange color with a nice thick head to it that last for quite sometime. It has nice fruit smells of grapefruit hops and lamon zest. AS you drink it there is a strong lemon flavor with a hoppy after taste. It is realy spicy and bitter on the palate.

Hazed orange gold with a white head. Nose is yeasty and citrus. Flavor is strong with apparent yeast influence and a minute citrus edge. Sweet, but not overly so. Definite influence from spices, but not overpowering by any means. Feel is good with carbonation. Pretty standard for the style, but still good. Highly drinkable. I’d go back to this again and again...and again.

Bottle- Orangey hazy yellow, good frothed up fizzy white cap. Nice lace and retention. Spicy and floral aroma, some candied malts, lemon zest, perfume, honey. Delicate flavour of floral spices, honey, oranges with some lemon. WHeaty/yeasty as we drink some more. Grass, touch of alcohol. Fruity, spritzy, spicy finish. Very fruit forward. Nice.

Draught. Pours golden with a moderate fluffy white head. Aroma is grain, yeast, a bit of coriander, and miscellaneous other stuff. Flavor is quite well integrated but spicy, with some zest, coriander, the yeast, a good amount of grainy malt, and hint of alcohol. Quite good!

I love this beer. Probably the only Belgian strong ale I could drink all night. Of course going to La Grande Choufferie (their 25 anniversary party) earlier this month has made me partial to La Chouffe. If your ever near Belgium in August check into La Chouffe’s summer festival, its awsome. So the beer, it is yellow color, fresh spicy aroma. The taste is fantastic, so easy to drink for 8%, there’s corriander in it but not enough to stick out, you just notice a nice spicy flavor. I highly recommend this beer, an awsome brewery that makes awsome beers!
