awesome beer... malty aroma, lots of spice, flower, citrus.... tastes sour and sweet in it’s own nice way, unique! finish not that heavy, but the spices stick... mouthfilling body yet easy to drink, pretty lively

Pleasant floral nose. I can’t identify the components and I don’t really care to. It’s beautifully intriguing and that’s all that really matters to me. The flavor is well balanced. Slightly spicy. A touch of skunk. Creamy texture. No bitterness. Really smooth. A fantastic Belgian strong ale.

From tap a hazy golden with large fluffy white head. Aroma is spicy, citrus, honey, grass and a bit funky. Flavor is big with caramel, yeasty bread, apple, and honey. Palate is lightly sweet with a dusty bittering, and a light tartness. This beer has a nice character with a nice depth of flavors. I’ll have another.

Pours hazy gold with a white head hat sticks around for a little and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is grass, yeast, citrus and some spices. Taste is sweet and spicey. Drying and crisp finish. Excellent.

Amo las cervezas de Belgica,destape la Achouffe y el olor me parecio similar a duvel aunque un poco diferente en cuanto a olores a citricos,al paladar me la encontre bien equilibrada,bastante carbonatada agradable con sabores a citricos y banano , disimula bastante los 8 grados que tiene peligro!! te puede dejar KO,las belgas no juegan. Gran cerveza me gusto bastante

Pour slight hazy golden orange with white head. Aroma grassy, malt, fruity, pepper, spice, floral. Taste cereal, spice, pepper, grassy, floral, malty sweet, apple, banana. MF medium body crisp slightly dry carb. Easy to drink pretty tasty abv well hidden.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2012 75cl. bottle. It pours an unclear golden liquid with a highpillowy white head and a very good lacing. Spiced and yeasty, a little alcohol and some fruit. Medium bodied. Balanced and delicious strong ale.

33cl bottle poured into a Chimay Trappist glass. Cloudy orange with one finger off-white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast and candy sugar. Flavor is spicy bread with a perfect blend of sweet and bitter. Good amount of carbonation. Finish is mild with smooth, warming alcohol. Great beer.
