| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2009 Poured cloudy gold with a bright white effervescent head that settled to a nice film and left ok lacing. Sweet, spicy, malt aromas with bananas and bread dough featured and pepper and hops in the background. Light citrus fruit flavors with cloves, pepper, yeast and sugar also playing roles. Lively carbonation that dances on the tongue, slight warming sensation from teh alcohol, and a pleasant light fruit sweetness in the aftertaste. roder60 (1020), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 31, 2009 Purchased this at some random side shop in Rome, Italy for 6 euro. Pours a clear dark gold with lots of carbonation and froathy bubbly white head. Aroma rather plain, mostly doughy and banana. Flavor very light, a bit watery, dough and banana with definite alcohol warmth. Some dryness in the finish. Good, but not great. MagooinPA (99), Warminster, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 25, 2009 On draft and poured into a chilled 16oz pint glass! This is on draft at Tony’s Place in Ivyland , Pa in Bucks County Pa. They have no clue to as to the rarity of this beer on draft in these parts despite Monks + The Belgian Cafe in Philly.
I quickly transferred it to a tulip glass. A nice fluffy white head and a cloudy golden 2 row pale malt straw color. Lots going here yet a simple beer. There are hints of spice and dried fruit from the yeast but the rest of the beer is just superior craftsmanship. The 8% is not apparent at all and it is a perfect balance of all things Belgian as far as hops and malt. Awesome spicy nose too. jameswolfe (142), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 22, 2009 750ml Bottle: Aroma of yeast, cookie, slight fruit, light spices, and a hint of lemon. Poured orange/amber/gold in color with a small, loose, white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Full of medium-sized particles throughout. Flavor is light to medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of yeast, cookie, sweet pale malts, slight hops, light caramel, and a hint of coriander. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Yeasty, lightly sweet, slight hop finish. 8%ABV is undetectable. simoneopazz (50), , Italy

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2009 11.2 ounce bottle from Whole Foods in Hillcrest ($4.99). Pours into tulip glass a peach-amber color with two fingers of white head. Aroma of spice and yeast, banana, and lightly sweet malts. Flavor pretty much follows the nose with yeast, spice, earthy malts, and fruit (banana as well light citrus). A nice hoppiness in the finish. Altogether a mellow brew but very drinkable and refreshing.
