TheGent (143), , Massachusetts, USA May 24, 2009 A bit messy to open with some over foaming onto the table but this was managable. A gorgous golden cloudy yellow with a classic thick belgian head to it. Sipping through the head of the beer gve way to a yeasty and coriander. A bitpungent at first but an enjoyable beer for me who is not a big fan of the belgian styles. GJF (480), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA May 24, 2009 Very drinkable. Pours a hazy gold with a small white head. Lots of yeast in the aroma. Fairly sweet beer with a fruity, yeasty finish. It’s slightly unbalanced with the sweetness to me, but it’s an easy drinker. sdriessen (203), Dunedin, New Zealand May 20, 2009 Nice big head in a tulip - condenses and looks sticky. A murky golden hue.
Piney notes in the aroma with honey. Hops are subdued but still nice and flowery. Mild hints of banana and vanilla in the sweet malt.
Flavours begin sweet and hoppy with clover honey.
In the middle is bitterness from the hops and elements of lemon. Quite intense compared to other blondes.
She finishes with a placid hop bitterness and a candy sweetness from the malt.
Crisp and clean on the palate, with strong carbonation.
travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA May 11, 2009 Big foamy white head, cloudy, sediment filled, and golden orange in color. The smell is paper, hops, yeast, citrus, earth, and pine. The taste is sweet, bitterness, hops, fruits, pine, and citrus. jeremytoni (1069), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA May 7, 2009 From the tap poured a light amber color with a good amount of head. Nice spicy malty flavor with a lingering finish. tokyogoat (505), San Diego, California, USA May 5, 2009 Ordered this on accident at the bar. Been wanting to try it forever and didnt realize I ordered it. Thought I was getting the North Coast Le Merle. I’m a tard, I know.
Pour was a hazy yellow with a light orange tint. Big fluffy white head and decent lacing.
Smells sweet with fruit sugars and a little yeast.
Taste is better than I thought, sweet, sweeter than most Belgian Pales that i’ve had. It was sweet to the lips with peach flavors, the yeast wasnt the star, the sweet tastes of orange stone fruits was delicious. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA May 4, 2009 Bottle. Aroma is yeasty and musty, with fruits and herbs. Hazy orange body, white head. Flavor is moderately sweet, nicely fruity. Assertive finish. TheHulk (106), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada May 2, 2009 A very plesant malt aroma with citrus. Hazy and golden, the light gets through but it’s still fairly thick. The malt taste is instantly complemented by all of the carmonation. It’s sort of a smooth carbonation, not at all like champagne or the Duvel I recently rated. Very, very plesant.
