Poured into a trappist chalice. I was expecting a big frothy head but the bottles I tried poured a thin white head that fizzled out but left some nice lacing in the glass. The aroma is malty with some light fruit and some minimal alcohol as well. The taste is yeast with a little bit of sour fruit notes. Nice bubbly and crisp feeling on the palate. Over all a very nice brew.

Sample at Waldo Hopfest 2016. Comes a clear dark gold with a nice white head. Aroma of malt, fruit, yeast, and spice. Taste is banana, tropical, malt, yeast, coriander, and a bit of alcohol. Very good.

Near clear orange pour. Aroma is light fruit. Taste is banana and spice. I like. Here are a few more words to make the word count requirement.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Pours clear golden with good white head. Aromas of bittering hops, light malts and lemon. Taste is of lagery malt, Belgian yeast with more banana than pepper. Very refreshing and easier drinking than duvel. Finish is medium dry and slightly bitter.

This beer is currently my favourite: everything is just. It’s strong but the taste of alcohol isn’t too present, it’s light and round, fizzy just enough. A perfect beer.

Wow. How have I not rated this? I guess I just assumed I had. Most recently enjoyed a large 50cl glass in a bar in Vieux-Lille on a sunny afternoon. Pours clear deep gold with large white head. Aroma is bright, sweet, lightly spicy. Highly carbonated palette with spicy sweet character, lightly floral and crisp. Super refreshing, classic Belgian blonde.

Bottle shared with koleminer20 at The Chouffe Party 2016. Aroma is banana, clove, coriander, sweet hops, yeast, yikes. Appearance is dark golden, white head, very hazy. Taste is permanent marker, banana, clove, strong alcohol presence, tropical fruit, pine, yeast and malt. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy body, light carbonation, dusty aftertaste, some tropical fruit. Overall, the first sip was not good, but with a braced palate, it got better.
