Eccept for the fact that it comes from behind with a serious buzz that imprisons you in the land of gnomes.. Not a bad place to be... but the female gnomes have beards too. The hints of coriander and other herbs give this beer a sort-of euphoric quality. Soooo good. igel (196), New Mexico, USA

The head is full and strong and maintains its presence throughout. It has a fine lace that clings to the glass, and an amber/golden color. La Chouffe has a great combination of effervescence and creaminess that adds an interesting character to the mouth feel and the taste. The smell is earthy and fruity with a hint of apples and pears. Taste is a complex and somewhat subtle mix of sweet and bitter that makes it very drinkable and not overwhelming. I have had in on tap and from the bottle and have never been disappointed. I totally love this beer, clean crisp and just yummy. unibrouefan (124), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

The aroma is wheathy and is strong (ressemblance with Hoeggarden). There is a lot of particules in this beer and I like it...that a sign of quality. The spicy and wheathy flavor and palate is astonishing. Tips: Drink this beer with a good steak or moose, you will like it more. gregkitzmiller (6), USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 29, 2006 One of my favorite beers that I fell in love with in Belgium.
