stayboy99 (2), USA does not count Mar 17, 2002 I have found nothing wrong with this beer. Eccept for the fact that it comes from behind with a serious buzz that imprisons you in the land of gnomes.. Not a bad place to be... but the female gnomes have beards too. The hints of coriander and other herbs give this beer a sort-of euphoric quality. Soooo good. igel (196), New Mexico, USA Sep 1, 2004 This Chouffe was dying to get out of the bottle. The head is full and strong and maintains its presence throughout. It has a fine lace that clings to the glass, and an amber/golden color. La Chouffe has a great combination of effervescence and creaminess that adds an interesting character to the mouth feel and the taste. The smell is earthy and fruity with a hint of apples and pears. Taste is a complex and somewhat subtle mix of sweet and bitter that makes it very drinkable and not overwhelming. I have had in on tap and from the bottle and have never been disappointed. pineybob (7), MYSTIC ISLANDS, New Jersey, USA does not count Aug 26, 2006 This is IMO The king of beers. The proof is that a business associate who is NOT familiar with Belgians went out and bought a case after I let her share half of my "Bomber".
I totally love this beer, clean crisp and just yummy. unibrouefan (121), Val-Des-Monts, Quebec, Canada Mar 5, 2006 Wow. What a surprising beer... this beer is near perfection. The aroma is wheathy and is strong (ressemblance with Hoeggarden). There is a lot of particules in this beer and I like it...that a sign of quality. The spicy and wheathy flavor and palate is astonishing. Tips: Drink this beer with a good steak or moose, you will like it more.
