A rich, thick, hearty beer that takes me away to anywhere but here. Golden in color. Cloudy in texture. A healthy, creamy head. Delicious at room tempurature! A rich bouqet of orange rind, maple, cinnamon and nutmeg. For such a complex tasting, bottle conditioned, double-fermented ale it is suprisingly smooth to the tongue. Sweet, spicy, ashy. I think its made by gnomes!

Always lovely. Always a pleasure. Get out the tulip glass. Fill it a quarter way. Enjoy the light hops, the sweet taste, the amazing joy of drinking Belgian.

Pours a slightly foggy honey colour with a bit fluffy head. Nose is yeasty and peppery, with a little banana, some coriander and after abit of swirling im sure some apricot comes out as well. Satisfying mouthfeel with a smooth, slightly dry finish. Very drinkable stuff, very nice.

I thought this was really good. pours a light golden/pale colour, aroma is sweet, with some honey. Taste is very pleasing, it is sugary with some honey, but also has a nice spice element to it. Outstanding brew.

Dark honey color – frothy white head – nose of bread , wheat , sweet dough , cloves , and fruit notes – sweet yeast , sour dough bread , nutty , earthy , slight anise , and slight hopps - medium creamy sparely body – aftertaste is nutty / earthy , short sweet with yeast

Draught at Old Capitol Brew Works and Public House. Slightly hazy, orange color with thick whipped cream white head that laced the glass. Aroma is of ginger and light flowery hops. Tastes of grape candy, subdued clove, and alcohol. Slightly sweet on the tongue. Between each taste there was a nice cereal grain flavor on the soft palate. Yum.

Bottle.

Pours a hazy cider brown with a decent but not huge off-white head ad some floating bits of very small particulate matter. The aroma is just lovely: baked apples, cinnamon, a hint of orange, some barnyard wildness and the bready yeasts. Nice. Very genty ly spiced and gently sweet at the start of the flavor profile, some citrus peel intertwining with yeasts for an interesting midrange, light hints of orange liquor, and a finish that is dry without being in the least bit aggressively so. Fizzy, refreshing mouthfeel, light and sparkly.

This is a beautifully crafted beer.
