UPDATED: APR 26, 2009 72cl bottle, Great taste, a liitle bit of coriander, spicey, great finish. on tap: a very good refreshing beer, dense head, aroma coriander, hop. Visting the brewerry is a recommendation. I Also have drunk it on tap, have to say this is even nicier than in bottle. Widely available around Houffalize

Bright golden color, dazzling in the sunlit window. A big white frothy head sits a top with small bubbles rapidly pushing up against it. Looks spectacular. The smell is zesty with peppery spices, cloves, coriander, and lemon peels. The taste shows off a delicious blend of sweet pale malt. Some funky yeast notes in there characteristic of a Belgian. Coriander is obvious in the herbal fruity profile. The body feels light, the carbonation is not harsh, but rather delicate. Very easy to drink, and the alcohol is well hidden. Short dry aftertaste brings an end to this well crafted beer.

33 cL bottle. Poured into La Chouffe tulip. Pours deep orange tone of gold. Head has long retention duration. Decent Belgian lace. Lots of tiny sediment pieces floating around the bottom of the glass. Robust fruity and spicy aromas. Slight honey and citrus scents. Subtle clove, and perhaps a hint of cinnamon, on nose. Belgian yeast, esters on front of palate. Spices and subtle hops mid palate. Hint of buttery flavor on back of palate. Crisp throughout palate, yet semi-dry finish. Medium body. Feel like I remember La Chouffe tasting even better from a 750 mL as well as on tap. Would like to re-rate based on a 750 mL bottle.

Poured from a 1500 ml bottle at Vin Rouge, Durham, NC. Enjoyed with mussels and frites. Could not have asked for a better beer for the meal. Light and ephervessant. It is dry like a champagne but easy to drink and refreshing. This beers has many qualities of a Belgium yet without the overbearing spices or taste of alcohol. Definitely my favorite Belgian now.
