Aromas include a very nice yeasty aroma, lots of spices, some light hoppiness and a bit of a floral aroma. Flavor is very enjoyable with significant floral flavors, an enjoyable hoppiness and significant spiciness. Mouthfeel is perfect. fraternie (711), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Medium-orange body, initial notes of caramel malt are followed by spicy/ fruity notes, cinnamon, coriander, floral and citrusy flavors are here as well. Finish is gripping and hoppy, notes of alcohol and spice are present. Volgon (2490), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 27, 2002 Pours a hazy orange full of floaters with a huge chunky head that stays around. Big spice, peppery nose, fizzy body, but not in a bad way. Light fruity taste, that ends slightly sweet. lovibond (112), New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 30, 2005 Talk about taste progression -- on draft in Belgium, it’s so much about the corriander. In bottle in the US, the spices fade a bit and some nice maltiness comes to the fore. And after cellaring for 8 or 9 years, the spices are gone altogether and so are most of the hops, leaving a slight maltiness and a nice sweetness. fiulijn (7530), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 15, 2002 Gold colour. Strong malt aroma, lightly fruity (apricots). Dry, rich body, malty, strong. Palate strong, long, bitter, hoppy, still well balanced by sweetness and malt. eczematic (1215), Sydney, Australia
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 7, 2002 Updated: Oct 6, 2008unique blend of yeasty fruit and spice with insistent hoppiness in the aroma. flavour has a blanket of well-attenuated caramel - like the sweetness is still there but the body isn’t. very dry, fluffy, peanut buttery, and slightly alcoholic. nice peppery, lemony, zingy finish. yum. a reliable summer tripel when you get bored of duvel. cranesareflying (50), Evanston, Illinois, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 5, 2002 Golden yellow color, flowery aroma with a white, frothy head, a light pale malt flavor, slightly fruity, slightly sweet, deceptively strong, fairly full and complex on the palate,
a mild carbonation, this is built to last with a refreshingly thick finish.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 6, 2002 I’d probably suggest this as a beer to train oneself on the spicy yeast so common in Belgian beers. The spicey yeast flavor is present in this beer, but not so overwhelmingly so that it would scare off someone unfamiliar with the flavor. Huge carbonation and a big white foamy head top of a nice golden body. The aromas of peppers and peaches dominate and when you take a sip you notice a little lemon mixed in. The alcohol does poke it’s head up, but it’s not too noticeable. A very good, light beer that’s very easy to drink.
