Pours a cloudy golden with a nice white head that left lacing. Aroma of various spices and citrus. Flavor is very smooth and spicy. Had this both on draft (Monks Cafe -Philadelphia) and in bottle. A little better from the tap, but still an amazing beer even out of the bottle. Currently one of my favorites. Strong golden ale yet very drinkable.

Pours a golden amber with a quite discernable haze and a large head. The aroma is fresh and very appealing -- herbs, wild yeast and a bit sweet. There is an incredible mix of fruits, breads and other flavors in this beer. I want another!

Wonderful beer! Nice head of off white foam. Flavor is of peach, pear, and white wine, followed by a nice malt bite and finishing with some solid hop bitterness and spice. Wonderful!

75cL green bottle from Florian’s in Auburn. Golden translucent body with an inch or so of white head and small bits of what is presumably yeast floating suspended in the body. Smells hoppy; citrusy and piney. Tastes sweet, citrusy, piney, yeasty, and spicey. Surprisingly refreshing for the abv. Alcohol flavor is only there a little in the aftertaste, but the alcohol warming is there. Light bodied and pleasant, full flavored and well balanced. Fantastic. I’m impressed.

My bottle poured an orange gold with a frothy white head. It has aroma of geman noble hops, earth, pine, and wood. Flavors mimic the smell with good additions of citrus, namely lemon, and spice. Very dry and refreshing with good carbonation. This beer reminds me a lot of saison dupont with a stronger citrus and spice flavor.

Love the spice! Love the flavor! A great Belgian beer. I wish I could find on tap as buying at a distributor in PA (cases only) can get expensive.

Visuals: hazy, golden, thin white head, light lace. 4 out of 5. Taste: classic Belgian, banana, fruit, clove, sugar. 10 out of 10. Palate: wet, dusty, medium bittersweet finish. 5 out of 5. Overall: A very good Belgian style. More balanced than Victory’s Golden Monkey. I’d look for it again. It’s well crafted, and very good. 17 out of 20.
