4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20Transparant copper with a medium-size head which faded rapidly. Aroma of honey, vanilla, also quite floral with some hop and spices. Strong, rounded and well-balanced taste of sweet malt (honey. liqourice, vanilla, somewhat grainy & bready), some slightly bitter hops in the long & sweet finish, plus some spices that blend in nicely. Mouthfeel has low carbonation, is somewhat watery, but fits the beer well. For a brew that is made at such large scale, in such large quantities, this is surprisingly nice.

I used to have a huge bonk-on for this in my pre-rating days. Spice, pepper, coriander and a little bit of funk in the aroma. A dependable brew but my tastes have moved on.

Floral, fruity--apples, lemons--and earthy aromas. Somewhat hazy yellow-gold with a lasting, white head. A little sweet, spicy, hoppy, and fruity. Light, pretty refreshing, and finishes with floral hops and fruity esters on the palate.

Golden color. Aroma of yeast, peppery spice, fruit. Taste follows. Peach comes through nicely. Complex and balanced.

Unclear golden. Medium fluffy white head - lasting. Yeast, wheat, some grain, spices, light fruity esters. Clean, refreshing, some alcohol and hay. Very enjoyable.

Bottle at The Pub, Leicester, just prior to LCFC beating Watford 1-0 in the play-offs. Has all the Belgian brilliance - soft lemon, chalk, dough, speckled sugar. So sweet, succulent and swiggable. Belies it’s strength. Firm hit at the finish, which kisses with alc.

Bought a 330ml bottle at the supermarket. Aroma of peaches and coriander. Has a golden/blond color and creamy white head and is highly carbonated. Taste is very complex with sweet, bitter and fruity. Taste of melons, citrus fruits and coriander. The afterdrunk is fresh and bitter. An excellent blond beer.

Bronzegolden colour. Great head and retention. Hops, spices and fruit in the nose. As with the Mc Chouffe, a very creamy feel in the mouth. Some sweetness of the yeast, hoppy citrus and more spices. Bitterness is nicely balanced. Bitter dry finish, but very subtle and lasting. Great Belgian strong ale.

Beautiful bright color, nice hop aroma. Deliciously balanced flavor, slightly hoppy, but not too much. One of my very favorite beers.

Bottle 0,75L. Hazy copper colour with creamy off-white, fully lasting head. Aroma of fruits, grass and herbs. Full bodied beer with creamy mouthfeel. Taste is moderate bitter with heavy bitter finish and coriander presence. 8% ABV is kinda normal for Belgian beers, so it’s not annything offensive...
