Bière de Garde tasting @ DØE Århus south. A heavy, full-bodied beer, almost creamy, with a heavy smell of old beer, and a dominant alcohol taste.

Bottled, 330ml from Carrfour, Coquelles, France. Gold with white head. Good depth for a blonde beer, there is a spicy maltiness initially, with hints of yeast and grain. From there develops a lemony, fruity, light hop note, fresh. Easily drinkable and quite pleasant.

Bevuta stasera a cena la bottiglia da 75 cl, al naso risulta molto fruttata e leggera floreale. In bocca invece è decisamente lievitosa e soprattutto troppo zucchero candita...

Leichter Erdnuss-Antrunk mit Karamellnote. Süßlich werdend, neben einer leichten Hopfennote kommt auch ein mildes Kräuteraroma auf. Im weiteren Verlauf hopfig, die im Antrunk erkannte Note von Erdnüssen ist dabei immer wieder erkennbar, wird im Abgang aber um eine Malznote ergänzt. Hier ist das Bier besonders würzig und weniger süß als im Mittelteil. Gut! Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,12,12,11,10,12 - 11,35

clear yellow, huge white head mild aroma, flowery, grassy in a nice way, slightly dry.flavor is dry, grassy , malty sweet. Too grassy.

Bottle. Very white foamy large head on a mostly clear golden color. Very apply, yeasty, ligtht fruits, and some earthy maltiness in the aroma. Slightly sweet, but mostly yeasty, some grassy hops, but sort of messy. Bit earthy, and decent. Lighter body with fizzy carbonation.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2012 75cl bottle shared with friends. Clear blond colour. Malty taste. Decent beer.

Old rate. 330ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a light golden, slightly hazy with a moderate cap. Light lacing. Aroma is sweet but has musty alcohol tones like a smoked malt whisky. Good malt spine, silky mouth feel. Hops are restrained, sweet with fruity tones like peach or apricot in sweet cream. Finish is wet with a musty, earthy note. Gentle and warming.
