Sep 21, 2005 This is basically a Belgian Ale, similar to 3 Monts or Grimbergen. Perhaps the acidicity is higher and the bitterness stonger but more brief. These taste like liquid baguettes.

Sep 15, 2005 33cl bottle. Golden/orange colour with disappering white head. Slightly pale malty nose, some citric hop, good bready malts going onward. Impressive. Good hoppy finish. Excellent blond beer that I will certainly buy again next time I am in France

Sep 14, 2005 330 ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with a fizzy white head. Doughy, yeasty, and fruity aroma with light musty notes. Bready, yeasty, musty, pepper, and spicy flavours. Medium bodied, creamy and lightly fizzy mouthfeel. I could drink another.

Sep 13, 2005 Bottle. Hazy golden with small white head. Initial yeast nose, with some peppery spiciness & some mild sugary sweetness. with some heavy sniffing there is sort of a well-baked potato roasted aroma. Flavor is spicy, yeasty and with that same sugary sweetness & crisp in the finish.

Sep 2, 2005 Updated: Oct 5, 2005La Choulette is a beer from the North of France. It has a classical yellow/golden coloru and an average head that falls quickly. La Choulette blonde gives a soft taste on the mouth that is hard to define, but you feel after a few moments very strong floral and grassy aromas. The finish is sweet and you hardly taste any alcohol. All in all it’s a light beer that has an interesting flavor.
La Choulette Blonde is one of the beer I could drink next to a dessert. It would fit pretty well with an apple pie.It’s also a beer I would suggest to a woman who’s usually not into this type of drink.

Aug 22, 2005 Updated: Jan 3, 2006Bottle. Aroma is grassy and sweet. I was hoping that the taste would be better than the aroma but I was disappointed. The flavour is overly sweet with some bitterness. Medium body, with a dry finish in which some alcohol can be detected. Maybe it would be better if cellared for half a year.
