Pours a hazy golden color with a thin white head and fair lacing. I smell some spices with fresh cut grass, hay and cantaloup. Interesting flavor of spices, herbs and cantaloup. There’s also a delicate farmhouse quality and a mild bitter finish. Light to medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. I’m very surprised by this beer, the alcohol doesn’t show at all, it’s a beer that would gain to be more known.

The lack of alcohol taste was a good rate, espeacially with 7.5 %. Good head retention, and nice lacing. It was very drinkable and really nothing seemed to be off, but it just didn’t appeal that much to me.

330ml bottle. A golden slightly hazed ale with a moderate cap. Light lacing. Aroma is sweet but has musty alcohol tones like a smoked malt whisky. Good malt spine, silky mouth feel... toned back hops..sweet with fruity tones like peach or apricot in sweet cream...finish is wet with a musty, earthy decernment... interesting ale..very gentle and warming

Tasted in Toronto. Obtained from LCBO. Tasted in Maudite snifter. Appearance is deep golden with lively sustained head. Aroma is dry, spicy and has a nice floral component. Flavour has a spicy component, with a finishing bitterness that, for the alcohol level aproaches refreshing.

bottle. golden-orange colour, fluffy white head. aroma is slightly spicy, dusty hops. flavour is sweet with notes of butterscotch, and a touch of spiciness. It’s interesting, but doesn’t really do it for me.

Low white head on top of a dark yellow body. Fruity, with a seemingly predominance of lemon. Spicy too. Strong but no alcohol taste. Very drinkable, but not quite my favourite Bière de garde.

What a great aroma - mild, sweet and fruity without being cloying. Cloudy with no head, and a decent warming beer. Strong, smooth with a bit of bitterness after swallowing. Reminds me a bit of Duvel.
