750ml bottle corked and caged dated best before 9/2/05. Large fizzy white head with good lacing, carbonated, hazy, and a yellow hue. Aroma was malty, sweet and spicy as was the flavor. Smooth palate.

Notes of pears, apple and alcohol in the nose; flavor is oaky, sour, and perfumey, and includes some medicine/band-aid; slightly sour. Definitly different. Thanks Sham & Bück Dich!

Wonderful golden body with light but persisting carbonation. Thick and lasting off-white frothy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with various herbal, flowery, honeyish, and fruity notes. Taste is not as complex as the aroma is, but it is pleasant, sweet, and it hides the alcohol pretty well. It ends with a decent bittersweet finish. Good stuff!

Light golden in color with a rambunctious head. Aromas of flowers, perfume, figs and leathery yeast. Tastes a bit sweet (with malts), and finishes very light, which is both delicate and disappointing.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Gold with white head. This had an aroma similar to some of the better Saisons - a fruity (gooseberry and peach?) sweet pastry thing that I’ve also noted in some Unibroue beers. Little bit of alcohol in there too (I don’t get whisky, maybe brandy?). Slight industrial note to the taste which doesn’t live up to the aroma. Dryish finish. Not bad.

Finally got around to drinking this purchase I made last September in St. Louis. For some reason, as it sat in my beer rack, I remembered buying a lambic. Some memory. This is a traditional biere de garde. Fruity. Light. Not bad at all.

Bottle: Good French blond grainy, grassy hoppy with some coriander spices aftertaste in it.

(Bottle at Taverne St Germain, Paris, 16 Oct) Golden yellow colour with amber notes, very lively, frothy, white head. Fruity and spicy nose with apricots, mandarin and a hint of yeast. Fruity taste with apricots, mandarin and pineapple. Notes of yeast in the spicy, rather dry finish. Very nice balance.
