rustychiles (349), Mesa, Arizona, USA May 5, 2008 Pours a transparent reddish amber with a large white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of malt, yeast, spices and caramel. Flavors of malt, spices, fruits, nuts and caramel. This beer has a slight mustyness as well. I was not impressed with this one, especially at $15 a pop. maeib (3802), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Apr 17, 2008 Bottled. A dark amber coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. The aroma is thick and gluey. Some brown bread and heavy malts. A really really chewy mouthfeel. Malty and bready. Quite sweet. Not sure why this is called a Christmas beer. Overridingly chewy. Dedollewaitor (1793), Odense, Denmark Apr 16, 2008 75cl bottle. Birthday gift from MissDolle. Pours beautiful hazy amber with a orange hew. On top is a creamy white foam & lacings. Aroma is matured malty with vinous, yeasty & spicy notes. Smooth & filling body. ¨The taste is a bit sour/acidic & spicy. Reminds me a lot of fantome. Dry end... Thomas_E (4814), Copenhagen, Denmark Apr 16, 2008 Hazy orange, amber colour with a white head. Malty, spicy aroma with a light acidic note. Malty, sweet flavor with a balanced spicy note and again this light acidic hint. bfeldmann (966), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Mar 28, 2008 Poured a copper color with cloudy head not much lacing. Aroma was very musty some carmel in there. Flavor was much the same, nuttyness. Good beer.
